Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes! When we have artists with availability we take walk-ins. If you’d like to guarantee an appointment, please submit a booking request.

What types of tattoos can be done as a walk-in?

Typically walk-in tattoos are around the size of your palm or smaller, pre-drawn or flash designs. If an artist has time, they may be able to accommodate something bigger or more complex, but it’s best to make an appointment for bigger projects.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

We get this question a lot, but there isn’t actually a lot you need to do to prepare for your appointment. Just make sure that you come in well rested, well fed, and well hydrated. Tattooing causes trauma to the skin.  Because of this, it is important that your body is well taken care of before your appointment.  The healthier your body is, the better it will be at facilitating the healing process and the better you will feel.

Depending on the placement of your tattoo, you may want to wear loose and/or stretchy clothing that can be easily moved around or removed if necessary.

Will I see the design before my appointment?

Typically, you will see your design at the time of your appointment. We do not send any artwork via email, or let the drawings leave the shop in any form ahead of your appointment.

We do, however, schedule enough time into everyone’s appointment, so that if there are small modifications that need to be made, you will absolutely be able to address these changes before getting tattooed.

  • Make sure to choose the right artist for you. Our portfolios can give you a sense of how each of us approach various subject matter. If you like what you see, you are already started in the right direction!

  • Be open and thorough with your description of what you want. This will help your artist get on the same page to deliver what you’re looking for, and what’s best for your design.

  • Some clients are looking for something very specific and will bring in their own drawing. It’s important to know not every design that looks good on paper will look good on skin, or last long. Your artist knows what will/won’t transfer well to skin and hold up over time, and they will design or adjust your tattoo so that it will be successful. None of our artists want to give you a tattoo that may look nice today, but be a mess in 10 years.

  • It’s okay to change your mind if you don’t like the design! If you end up not getting tattooed, you will, however, lose your deposit as it’s intended to cover the time the artist spent working on your design.

How do I take care of my tattoo?

1.  Leave the bandage on overnight and dream about your new tattoo
2.  Take the bandage off and wash your tattoo with soap & hot water
3.  Pat dry with a clean towel
4.  Apply a SMALL amount of aquaphor or an unscented moisturizer
5.  Your tattoo will not be fully healed for 2 weeks.  Throughout this time, keep the area clean and moisturized.
